About Charts

Charts create a graph to easily view market data.
Charts display the upward and downward trends in the market in a picture format
.


To set up a Chart.
 
Click on Design and select Chart from the drop down menu.
 
 
A Chart Setup menu will appear.

Enter a stock symbol in the Symbols field. Select "Bar Graph" and "CandleStick" to view a candle stick chart and select "Show Volume" to view trade volume in a bar graph.
 
 

Click on the down-arrow for "Data Period" and select a period to be displayed on the chart, such as Intraday.

 
 
Click on the spin button to increase or decrease the "Number of Days" to be displayed on the chart.

Click on the spin button to increase or decrease the minutes for each "Intraday Bar Interval". Then click O.K.
 
 


To choose the Up Tick Candle and Down Tick Candle colors on the chart.
 

Right Click and select "Change Colors" from the menu.


You can use the hotkey "Ctrl+C" on your keyboard to display the "Change Colors" window.

 
 
Once in the Color Setup menu choose "Open (Up Candle)" from the "Series" field and select the color Green for Uptick candlesticks.
 
 
Then choose Low (Down Candle) and select the color Red for Downtick candlesticks.

You can also change the chart background color by selecting a color from the Background Color field under Window Colors.
Once done click O.K.
 
 

 

To add and adjust Attribute on charts.
 
Right click on the chart and select Display from the menu.

You can use the hotkey Ctrl+X on your keyboard to display the Chart Display Options menu.
 
 
In the Chart Display Options menu select Show Last Price In Axis and Color Code Volume Bars in the General Properties field. Then click O.K.
 
 

 

To add analytical studies.
 
Right click on the Chart and select Setup Studies from the menu.

You can use the the hotkey Function-9 (F9) on your keyboard to display the Setup Studies window.
